Avance Clinical Wins ANZCham's Australia-Taiwan Business Excellence Award in Taiwan

TAIPEI, Taiwan, Sept. 10, 2026 (GLOBE NEWSWIRE) -- Avance Clinical Taiwan has won the Australia-Taiwan Business Excellence Award at the 2026 Australia New Zealand Chamber of Commerce in Taiwan (ANZCham Taiwan) Business Awards, held at Shangri-La's Far Eastern Plaza Hotel in Taipei.

The award is one of only two national-level, cross-border categories at the ceremony — alongside the Australia-Taiwan Business Partnership Award — set apart from ANZCham's state-specific Queensland-Taiwan and New South Wales-Taiwan categories, making it one of the night's most competitive recognitions for a company operating between the two markets.

The award recognises the contribution of Avance Clinical's Taiwan operations to strengthening business and clinical research ties between Australia and Taiwan, and comes at a period of rapid growth for the company's regional footprint: since opening its Taipei office in March 2025, Avance Clinical has signed memoranda of understanding with four major Taiwanese hospital networks — Taipei Medical University, Taichung Veterans General Hospital , China Medical University Hospital, and Kaohsiung Medical University Chung-Ho Memorial Hospital — building the on-the-ground partnerships that this award recognizes.

The win also lands as Taiwan's own biotech sector accelerates. The industry generated approximately US$24.5 billion in revenue in 2023, up 8.12% year-on-year, backed by more than US$1.8 billion in private investment and a 2025 government technology budget increase of nearly 15%. Taiwan's regulatory environment adds a further advantage for global biotechs: the Taiwan Food and Drug Administration completes standard IND reviews in roughly 45 days, and as little as 15 days for trials co-filed with the FDA, EMA or TGA under the Multinational Clinical Trial Notification scheme. For Taiwan-based biotechs looking to run trials that are recognised internationally, that combination of local market strength and streamlined regulatory pathways is central to why a CRO's regional credibility — the kind this award signals — matters.

Avance Clinical Chief Executive Officer, Mark Harvill, said, “Taiwan has quickly become one of the most important parts of our Asia-Pacific footprint. Our Taipei team has built partnerships with four of the country's leading hospital networks, and this recognition from ANZCham Taiwan reflects the trust we've earned in one of the region's fastest-growing biotech markets.”

Leading Avance Clinical's Taiwan team is Kelly Yang, Associate Director, Operations, Taiwan, who said, “This recognition from ANZCham Taiwan underscores the strength of our regional presence and our commitment to supporting biotech innovation.”

Avance Clinical Taiwan was joined at the event dinner by Taiwan site networking key opinion leaders and biotech partners including Taiwan Alliance of Clinical Trial Centers, Taipei Medical University, AP Bioscience, Orient EuroPharma, Immunwork and Yang Ming Regenerative Therapeutics.

As a full-service, Australian-headquartered CRO specialising in early-phase and First-in-Human studies across more than 250 indications, as well as Oncology, Renal, Metabolic, and Central Nervous System trials, Avance Clinical has partnered with more than 700 emerging biotech companies worldwide to accelerate their programs to critical development milestones. The company has been recognised annually by Frost & Sullivan for CRO customer value leadership since 2021, most recently as its 2026 Global Company of the Year.
